BCforward is hiring a Laboratory Technician – Microbial Repository Support to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves supporting the Microbial Repository by performing various laboratory tasks under supervision.
About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for routine and non-routine tasks including ordering supplies, cleaning and organizing lab areas, performing manual liquid transfers, operating automated liquid handlers, and storing and retrieving samples from freezers and shakers. You will collaborate closely with technicians and scientists to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
About You
Required:
- Associates Degree in Biotechnology or a related science field, or at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
- Prior experience in microbiology, biotechnology, biology, or related field.
- Prior experience using aseptic technique.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with automation.
- Good communication and time management skills.
Benefits
- Competitive pay rate of $24/hr - $24.5/hr.
- Opportunity for contract extension after 12 months.
