Summary

HX5, LLC is seeking a LabVIEW Software Engineer to join their team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role involves designing and implementing software for the development, testing, and certification of flight hardware.

About the Role

As a LabVIEW Software Engineer, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, designing and developing data acquisition systems, testing and debugging software issues, coordinating test activities with NASA facilities, and developing documentation for testing and operations. You will also participate in multi-disciplinary technical reviews and collaborate with other disciplines.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
2-5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Experience with data acquisition and processing.
Experience with NI LabVIEW for system control, testing, data storage, and analysis.
Experience with CompactRIO RT/FPGA platform.
Experience with LabVIEW Object Oriented Programming (LVOOP).
Experience with Git for source code control.
Experience with C/C++ coding in a Linux environment.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.

Preferred:

Familiarity with NASA/JSC organizations, processes, and procedures.
Prior experience with spaceflight system development.
Experience with system interface requirements.
Experience with common communication protocols (RS232, RS422/485, 1553, USB).
Knowledge of web application frameworks such as ASP.NET.
