Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Company, is seeking a Layout Designer to join their team in Appleton, WI. The role involves supporting Pierce apparatus by creating and updating drawing layouts using computer-aided drafting software and managing components and Bill of Materials according to Oshkosh standards.
About the Role
The Layout Designer will update current drawings per engineering markups, re-master CAD drawings to current formats, create 3D and 2D layouts following design team directions, self-check work for accuracy and compliance with CAD standards, and utilize ERP systems to create part numbers with proper naming and data entry.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent with two (2) years of experience in drafting/design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in using CAD tools and standard Windows Office tools including SharePoint and email.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or equivalent with three (3) years of experience in drafting/design.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
