About the Role
As an Ammunition Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing ammunition and related materials. Your duties will include conducting periodic inventories, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and training co-workers. You will work under potentially stressful conditions and must be physically capable of performing tasks in various environmental conditions.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge of ammunition and hazardous material handling.
- Ability to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Three or more years of experience in military ammunition supply or related operations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess valid State Real ID.
Preferred:
- Licensed forklift operator 4K to 6K; knowledge of pallet building for ammunition shipment; HAZMAT certification.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Army and DOD ammunition regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of military ASP operations.
- Ability to complete AMMO 31, 45, 63, and 68 certifications within 90 days.
- Prior service as an MOS 89B (Ammunition Specialist) or similar military specialty code.
- Prior military and/or contingency operations experience.
