Career Transitions, a morales group company is seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to join their team in the Muncie, IN area. The role involves driving the development, improvement, and support of control systems across high-volume automotive manufacturing operations.

About the Role

As a Lead Controls Engineer, you will plan and execute technical projects for new and existing products, design and improve manufacturing control systems, troubleshoot production equipment, develop electrical and control specifications, program PLCs and CNC controls, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing systems. You will also create investment plans for new equipment and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards.

About You

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of controls or automation experience, preferably in Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Proven project management capability.

Preferred:

Leadership experience.
Expertise in controls system design from concept through installation for high-volume manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC, Allen-Bradley PLC, GE Fanuc CNC, and industrial networks.
