About the Role
As a Lead Cook in an independent living community, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper portion control and attractive plate presentation, and accommodating special dietary needs. You will lead and coordinate line cooks and kitchen staff during shifts, delegate tasks for timely meal service, and train new kitchen staff on procedures and safety standards.
About You
Required:
- At least two years of cooking experience.
- At least two years of kitchen management experience.
Preferred:
- Three plus years’ experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining.
- One year experience in long term care.
- Culinary education and supervisory background.
