About the Role
As a Lead Lifeguard, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and cleanliness of the pool area, enforcing safety rules, performing maintenance and chemical testing, and providing guidance to other lifeguards. You will also respond to emergencies, maintain certifications, and foster positive relationships with members and staff.
About You
Required:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Minimum of one season of lifeguarding experience.
- Current YMCA Lifeguard or Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
- Current ASHI certifications for CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen.
Preferred:
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
- Experience in leading and training other lifeguards.
