About the Role
As a Lead Machinist, you will set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment including water jet, CNC mill, CNC lathe, press brake, and shear. You will read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, program CNC equipment, collaborate with engineering to resolve design discrepancies, and perform quality inspections. Additionally, you will maintain a safe work environment and perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Proficiency with Flow software for water jet programming.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Preferred:
- Experience in CNC programming for mill and lathe.
- Basic proficiency in 3D CAD drawing software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills.
