About the Role
As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the daily execution of solid rocket motor production, including propellant mixing, casting, and testing. You will own the manufacturing value stream, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the technical authority interfacing with various teams. Additionally, you will lead new product introductions and ensure compliance with safety regulations while mentoring junior engineers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years in formal leadership.
Preferred:
- Proven track record leading production of solid rocket motors from development through sustained rate production.
- Deep expertise in propellant formulation, vacuum casting, and non-destructive evaluation of energetic articles.
- Demonstrated success scaling hazardous processes while reducing costs.
- Prior work on orbital launch vehicles or missile defense programs.
- Aptitude for mentoring teams in a fast-paced environment.
