About the Role
As a Lead Medical Coordinator, you will supervise other Medical Coordinators and provide staff training on medical, dental, and public health topics relevant to pediatric and adolescent care. You will develop and maintain policies for health record management, triage health concerns, and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities include scheduling medical appointments, managing medical files, and addressing billing errors, while also participating in on-call duties as needed.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of one (1) year of employment in public health or healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a bachelor’s degree, OR higher health-related qualification (e.g. Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks.
- Must be able to pass required medical examinations and have the physical ability to fulfill essential job functions.
Preferred:
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency.
- Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
