Summary
MITRE is seeking a Lead PNT Systems Engineer to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves serving as a technical expert in GPS systems engineering and supporting Space Systems Command.
About the Role
As a Lead PNT Systems Engineer, you will act as a technical expert in GPS Programs of Record, perform systems engineering trade studies, lead collaboration within the MITRE team, and mentor junior engineers. You will tackle technical challenges to advance resilient space capabilities in support of national interests.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a B.S degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated technical depth in GPS systems engineering.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to lead and build collaboration across organizational units.
- Strong communication skills for complex ideas.
- Critical thinking skills and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Minimum of 4 days a week on-site.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting GPS Programs of Record - Control, Space and User Equipment.
- Proficiency in systems engineering principles (requirements analysis, risk management, verification/validation).
