About the Role
As a Lead Process Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, preliminary, and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants. This includes preparing specifications and drawings, designing piping and pumping systems, and providing oversight during construction. You will also evaluate and select equipment, assist with facility layouts, and develop process flow diagrams and construction documents. Additionally, you will lead process mechanical teams and mentor junior staff while collaborating with other project disciplines.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process mechanical design of water and wastewater systems.
- Holds an active professional engineering (PE) license.
- Experience with National Building Codes, EPA regulations, and 10 States Standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience in industrial, water, or wastewater process mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo.
- Experience with construction management and troubleshooting during construction.
- Proficiency in Microstation and/or Autodesk design suites.
