GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join their team in Asheville, NC. The role involves developing expertise and executing the quality engineering function for 9X Liner Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) components.
About the Role
As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating process and product improvement programs, establishing process method excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will provide technical guidance on quality requirements, support the development of manufacturing processes, and interface with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards. Additionally, you will communicate key issues and collaborate with various teams to meet customer requirements and improve overall quality.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years experience in Manufacturing & Production Quality Assurance.
Preferred:
- Proven knowledge of machining processes.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application in manufacturing and inspection.
