Summary
CableLabs is seeking a Lead RAN Solution Architect to join their Wireless Technologies department in Louisville, CO. The role involves developing solutions for converged wireless and wired networks, including 5G/6G, DOCSIS, NTN, and Wi-Fi.
About the Role
As a Lead RAN Solution Architect, you will research and develop end-to-end solutions for converged networks, improve service delivery through 5G PHY/MAC layer features, and validate performance through lab and field measurements. You will also work closely with standards bodies and document research outcomes.
About You
Required:
- 5-10 years’ experience in system integration and deployment of 5G or mobile networks.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field with an emphasis on Telecommunications.
- Strong expertise in 5G NR PHY and MAC layers and 3GPP standards.
- Solid understanding of converged networks.
- Strong expertise in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ programming.
- Hands-on lab experience with spectrum analyzer, network vector analyzer, and vector signal generator.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with DOCSIS networks and MAC and PHY layer protocols.
- Familiarity with 5G core and 3GPP Service and System Aspects (SA) standards.
- Experience in 3GPP, IEEE, GSMA industry standards activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of wireless communications, radio propagation, antenna theory, digital signal processing, and RF principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
