About the Role
As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will guide a team of structural engineers, interface with clients and engineers from other disciplines, and manage a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include applying your knowledge of materials and structural analysis, directing the preparation and review of design calculations and specifications, supervising and mentoring team members, and performing structural analysis and design using advanced software tools. You will also travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and construction coordination.
About You
Required:
- BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10 or more years of experience in the design and analysis of industrial or nuclear facility structures.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
- Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- PE or SE license.
Preferred:
- MS in Civil Engineering degree.
- On-site construction support experience.
