Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Learning and Development Leader to join their team in Pennington, AL. The role involves partnering with operations leadership to enhance employee capabilities and implement a development process that improves performance in safety, quality, production, and reliability.
About the Role
As a Learning and Development Leader, you will lead the onboarding process for hourly employees, facilitate knowledge transfer, create Skills Matrices, maintain Individual Development Plans, and foster a safety culture. You will collaborate with various teams to identify performance gaps, stay current with best practices, and lead training sessions.
About You
Required:
Five (5) or more years of manufacturing operations or military experience.
Two (2) or more years of experience tracking training efforts and training curriculum development.
Experience using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Adult Learning, Engineering, Human Resources, or Psychology.
Experience with application of adult learning principles.
Experience working with SharePoint and Learning Management Systems.
Pulp and Paper industry experience.
Work experience in a union environment.
