About the Role
As a Learning Disabilities Specialist, you will assume leadership roles within the department and the institution, participate in curriculum and program development, and work collaboratively within the college community. You will create a dynamic learning environment, engage with students from diverse backgrounds, and integrate new technologies into the learning process.
About You
Required:
- Possession of an unexpired California Community College Credential in Learning Disabilities Specialist or a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Fifteen (15) semester units of upper division or graduate study in the area of Learning Disabilities.
Preferred:
- Two years of full-time experience in counseling or guidance for students with disabilities.
- Completion of the California Community College Learning Disabilities Eligibility & Services Model (LDESM) training.
- Experience in conducting learning disability evaluations with adults in community college.
