Summary
FundApps is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves scaling the legal function and delivering legal, compliance, and commercial initiatives.
About the Role
As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, partnering with the Revenue team to resolve contract queries, guiding contracts through their lifecycle, advising on legal and compliance aspects of new product features, and driving legal operations projects to improve scalability and efficiency.
About You
Required:
- U.S.-qualified attorney (JD + New York bar admission or eligible for in-house registration).
- 3+ years’ relevant legal experience (in-house at a tech/SaaS company is a strong plus).
- Strong commercial contracts expertise — drafting, negotiating, and issue-spotting.
- Proven ability to lead real-time negotiations with confidence and clarity.
- Familiarity with U.S. privacy laws (e.g. CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with CLM tools or other legal tech platforms.
- Previous exposure to SaaS or startup environments, ideally high-growth.
