About the Role
As a Legal Secretary - Litigation, you will perform essential duties such as drafting and finalizing correspondence and pleadings, conducting conflicts checks, preparing discovery documents, assisting with trial preparation, and managing attorney files. You will also handle calendar management, vendor invoices, and travel arrangements, ensuring high standards of client relations and satisfaction.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of law firm experience at a litigation desk preferred.
- Ability to work through complex document markups and instructions in a timely manner.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and State court electronic filing systems, PACER, ADR and JAMS mediation processes.
- Minimum typing speed of 70 wpm.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Advanced proficiency in NetDocs or similar programs.
- Familiarity with Aderant or other accounting software.
- Proficient in iTimekeep or similar time entry software.
