Summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Director for Lender Finance to join their Origination and Execution team in New York, NY. The role focuses on providing asset-based financing and services to leading credit managers in US markets.

About the Role

As a Director in the Lender Finance Group, you will build and maintain relationships with private credit asset managers, lead the structuring and execution of asset-based lending facilities, manage deal teams, conduct due diligence, and oversee deal structuring and execution. You will also collaborate with legal counsel on loan agreements and stay informed about market trends to provide strategic solutions to clients.

About You

Required:

At least 10+ years of banking experience with at least 5 years in lender finance.
Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships in the asset management sector.
Extensive experience in loan securitization with strong structuring and modeling skills.
Experience in leading deal teams in the execution of transactions and negotiating documentation.
Deep understanding of regulatory environment and its impact on leveraged loans and project finance.

Preferred:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.
