Legend Biotech is seeking a Lentiviral Production Co-Op to join their R&D team in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves supporting upstream and downstream processes for lentiviral vector manufacturing.
About the Role
As a Lentiviral Production Co-Op, you will assist in culturing HEK293 cells, support lentiviral transfection and harvest processes, perform buffer preparation, operate chromatography systems, and conduct analytical testing in a BSL-2 environment. This hands-on role provides exposure to industry-standard techniques and collaboration with scientists and engineers to optimize workflows for gene therapy applications.
About You
Required:
Currently enrolled in Master’s program in Biotechnology, Biochemical engineering, molecular biology, or related field.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred:
Basic understanding of cell culture, virology, or bioprocessing principles.
Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as pipetting, buffer preparation, and aseptic handling.
Familiarity with chromatography systems (AKTA) and TFF.
