About the Role
As a Library Assistant, you will serve as the point of contact for patrons, assisting them with library resources and services. Your responsibilities will include performing advanced searches in databases, handling circulation tasks, managing membership records, and ensuring the library is well-stocked. Additionally, you will create content for social media campaigns, produce the monthly library newsletter, and collaborate on marketing strategies.
About You
Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively in a small team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity or willingness to learn legal research and marketing tools and library systems.
Preferred:
- Library experience with emphasis on customer service.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Constant Contact, Canva, etc.).
- Social media management skills and website maintenance experience.

Stark County Law Library
The Stark County Law Library provides legal information services to local judges, attorneys, county and township officials, and public citizens. It has been serving the legal community since 1889. The library is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and is located on the fourth floor of the Stark County Office Building.
