About the Role
About You
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with registration and license (LPN) to practice nursing in the District of Columbia.
- One year of nursing experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Strong PC skills in a Windows environment (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience in a residential setting serving homeless populations or substance abuse rehabilitation.
- Experience working with medically fragile individuals.
- Bilingual in any language.
Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas (“VOACC”) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire self-reliance, dignity, and hope through housing, health and human services. Founded in 1896 in Baltimore, MD by social reformers, Ballington and Maud Booth, we were one of the first of over 30 affiliates of Volunteers of America – one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive human services organizations.
