About the Role
As a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support youth in managing emotions, loss, stress, and trauma through creative interventions. Your responsibilities will include designing therapeutic recreation activities, conducting arts-based assessments, co-leading therapeutic groups, and maintaining clinical records. You will also provide crisis intervention and ensure a smooth transition for clients back to community living.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Creative Arts Therapist or related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with youth who have mental health challenges or co-occurring disorders.
- Unrestricted NYS license to practice as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT).
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Experience in delivering psychoeducational training.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
