Project Renewal is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves providing nursing care and support in a residential stabilization and rehabilitation program for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for managing client care, including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and health care coordination. You will work under the supervision of the SUD Nurse Manager, assist with withdrawal management, document care in electronic health records, and ensure compliance with health regulations. Additionally, you will participate in case conferences and provide health education to clients.
About You
Required:
- New York State Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current certification in CPR/BLS
- Excellent oral, writing, and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Experience working with MICA and/or homeless populations
- Experience in addiction medicine or hospital-based withdrawal services
- Ability to interface with clients from diverse backgrounds
