About the Role
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting therapy sessions for clients facing various emotional and psychological challenges. Your duties will include assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, maintaining clinical documentation, and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will also provide crisis intervention and foster a safe environment for clients while staying updated on best practices in mental health care.
About You
Required:
- Valid, active license to practice in the state of Texas (LPC or LPC-S).
- Ability to work with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and clinical documentation requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A commitment to continued professional development and self-care.
Preferred:
- Certification or specialized training in a specific therapeutic modality (e.g., EMDR, trauma-informed care, etc.).
- Experience with telehealth services.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
