About the Role
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will support hospital operations by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations, assisting during surgeries, providing nursing care, and maintaining medical records. Your responsibilities will include taking vital signs, administering medications, ensuring a safe environment, and communicating with pet owners about patient status.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience with veterinary appointments, surgeries, and nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients.
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) as required by State.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of preparation, monitoring, and recovery of pets receiving surgery.
- Ability to demonstrate correct procedures in catheter placement, phlebotomy, and emergency medicine.
