About the Role
As a Lifesharing Provider, you will open your home to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, supporting them in developing life skills, integrating into the community, and experiencing inclusion as family members. Responsibilities include providing daily support for personal care, assisting with transportation, promoting personal growth, encouraging community inclusion, monitoring health and wellness, maintaining records, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
About You
Required:
- A stable, safe home environment with appropriate living space.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to complete background checks, health screenings, and home assessments.
- Commitment to caregiving and providing consistent support.
- Willingness to follow training and program protocols.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., bilingual Spanish).
- Understanding of person-centered planning and behavior support techniques.
