Ghafari Associates is seeking a Lighting Designer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves providing design, analysis, and engineering for lighting and lighting control systems for new construction and renovation projects.
About the Role
As a Lighting Designer, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Electrical Engineering to design and engineer electrical systems for lighting installations. Your responsibilities will include preparing feasibility studies, producing construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines, and conducting field measurements. You will also review project submittals and maintain organized project files.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3-6 years of related experience in the lighting design engineering field.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Lighting Certification (L.C).
- Proficiency in AGI32 and ElumTools Lighting Design Software.
- Knowledge of design for facility lighting systems including lighting and power branch distribution.
