St. Vincent de Paul CARES is seeking a Line Cook to join their team in Port Charlotte, FL. The role involves providing backup and support to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and serving meals to the hungry and homeless.
About the Role
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, assisting in inventory management, unloading food supplies, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with food service standards. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to maintain a well-functioning kitchen and contribute positively to the team.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
1-2 years of experience in restaurant or catering services.
ServSafe Certification or equivalent.
Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
Preferred:
Culinary Arts training in basic food service and safety.
Basic computer skills.
Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic groups.
