As an LIS Application Analyst I, you will assist in the analysis, design, and preparation of application/system specifications for information systems solutions. You will support the laboratory information system (LIS) under the direction of the Associate IT Director, Dept. of Pathology, and participate in testing and validation of IT projects with a laboratory component. Responsibilities include supporting software, coordinating infrastructure and interface support for pathology applications, and working with client management to identify and specify application requirements.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2 years experience in systems analysis or design.

Preferred:

Knowledgeable in HL7 interfaces and message structure.
Healthcare experience preferred, including hospital and clinical applications.
Familiarity with healthcare workflows and terminology.
Strong ability to document testing and troubleshooting results and processes.
Working knowledge of a Clinical Pathology laboratory’s practices and terminology.
Experience with Sunquest and/or SCC Softlab, Powerpath or other dedicated laboratory information systems.
