About the Role
As a Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for drafting and proofreading legal documents, assisting attorneys in trial preparations, managing complex calendars, conducting legal research, maintaining organized case files, liaising with clients and court officials, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and assisting with billing processes.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years experience as a legal secretary, preferably in litigation and/or labor and employment law.
- Exceptional legal drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of legal procedures, terminologies, and court system.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality for handling sensitive information.
Preferred:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
