About the Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates and bills of materials for various communication systems. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to ensure proposals are accurate and compliant with regulations. Your tasks will include performing take-offs from drawings, validating scope of work, preparing proposal inputs, and participating in risk assessments. You will also track estimate accuracy and continuously improve estimating models.

About You

Required:

6 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree or 10 equivalent experience in estimating or pre-sales for mission-critical communications, RF systems, or low-voltage infrastructure projects.
Strong working knowledge of Motorola LMR systems, dispatch console architectures, and BDA/DAS/ERRCS solutions.
Experience interpreting RF designs, floor plans, riser diagrams, and construction drawings.
Proficiency with estimating tools, Excel-based cost models, Pivot Tables, and proposal development workflows.
Strong understanding of labor modeling, installation methodologies, and commissioning processes for RF and DAS systems.
Ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Service Management and customers.

Preferred:

RF engineering background or Motorola formal training (BSEE, BSEET, or equivalent experience).
Motorola Solutions certifications (System Planner, P25, Dispatch Console, etc.).
Familiarity with project costing methodologies.
