About the Role
As a Loan Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing new loan requests, reviewing loan files for completeness, processing loan documentation, closing loans, computing payments and interest, and handling telephone inquiries. You will also perform various administrative tasks related to loan processing and ensure compliance with established standards.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED with specialized schooling or on-the-job education in a specific skill area.
- 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling financial calculations.
Preferred:
- Notary Public certification.
- Previous loan or loan documentation experience.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
- Excellent proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
