About the Role
As a Loan Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing new loan requests, reviewing loan files for completeness, processing loan documentation, closing loans, computing payments and interest, and handling telephone inquiries. You will perform essential duties such as reviewing completed loan applications, ordering supporting documentation, performing pre-funding reviews, and preparing loan packages for shipping and booking.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED with specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area.
- 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
Preferred:
- Notary Public certification.
- Previous loan or loan documentation experience.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
