Summary

Persistent Systems, LLC is seeking a Logistics Associate to join their team at their New York City headquarters. The role involves managing all incoming and outgoing shipments.

About the Role

As a Logistics Associate, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving packages, maintaining warehouse inventory, conducting daily inventory counts, and ensuring accurate reporting of daily moves. You will also be involved in picking, packing, and shipping customer orders, monitoring warehouse jobs, and maintaining shipping supplies.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with packaging and shipping products.
Experience in a warehouse/storeroom with knowledge of warehouse functions.
General knowledge of legal and safety procedures for handling goods.
Literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Strong communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Preferred:

Experience with information management systems: ERP/MRP.
Knowledge of shipping integrated systems such as UPS, FedEx, DHL - Domestic and International.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
