About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for measuring and recording vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting healthcare providers, administering medications, and maintaining medical supply inventory. You may also perform clerical tasks and float to other UFHP practices as needed.
About You
Required:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) eligible to practice in the State of Florida.
- One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred:
- Experience in direct patient care in an ambulatory care setting.
- Ability to multitask and display initiative.
- Outstanding patient/customer service skills.
