About the Role
As an LPN in the Surgical Urology unit, you will work nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am, involving patients and families in care plans, documenting procedures, and assisting the multidisciplinary team. You will also perform IV skills, monitor patient responses to medications, and provide discharge instructions.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- IV Therapy Certificate within three months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Knowledge of quality improvement practices
Preferred:
- One year experience in an acute care setting OR three years of long-term care experience
