Allied Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Scranton Hospice Center, part-time evening position, requiring 32 hours per pay period.
About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide direct nursing care to patients under the direction of the Clinical Director and/or Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and contributing to an individualized plan of care as part of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team. You will utilize monitoring, intervention, and teaching skills to enhance patient comfort and quality of life, while ensuring high levels of personalized service and addressing concerns promptly.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of two years general nursing experience.
Preferred:
- Hospice experience.
- Experience with pain and symptom management interventions.
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and principles of death/dying.
