As an LPN Staff in Acute Medical Care, you will be responsible for evaluating assigned patients, planning and implementing nursing care, assisting physicians during examinations, performing patient tests, and administering medications. You will promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions and self-care skills. The position requires a high degree of creativity and judgment, and you will typically report to a manager or head of a unit.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current License with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred:
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
- ACLS certification after 6 months.
