Axiom Space is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) program in Houston, TX, in collaboration with Astrolab, Inc. The role focuses on the design and development of mechanical systems for NASA's Artemis missions.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for the Lunar Terrain Vehicle. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with project specifications, conducting testing, overseeing system integration, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also perform detailed analysis and simulation of physical systems, manage project timelines, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
Strong mechanical design, integration, and mechanism analysis skills using 3D modeling and simulation tools, preferably SolidWorks.
Familiarity with NASA Standards, Federal Standards, and/or DOD Standards.

Preferred:

Experience developing spaceflight hardware structures and mechanisms using metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials.
Experience in Extravehicular Activities (EVA) and Extravehicular Robotics (EVR) operations and hardware.
