Summary
ResCare Community Living is seeking a LVN / LPN to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves providing routine care and general observation of clients' health status under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
About the Role
As a LVN / LPN, you will be responsible for communicating health needs to the RN supervisor, coordinating admissions and discharges, assisting in medical appointments, administering medications, and ensuring the provision of nursing services as directed by the RN. You will also monitor vital signs, report changes in health status, and provide supervision and education for non-licensed staff.
About You
Required:
- Must be a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) in good standing.
- CPR certification.
- At least 6 months of direct nursing experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities or related disorders.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to use a computer for documentation.
