About the Role
About You
- Graduate from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
- Current licensure to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire (required in Emergency Department and Critical Care).
- EKG test passed within 90 days of hire date (required in Emergency Department and Critical Care).
- Completion of Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire (for Emergency Department).
- Completion of unit specific competency-based orientation program within 90 days, if applicable.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 weeks of employment (for Inpatient Women’s Services).
- Approved Education and Training in Non-Violent Crisis De-escalation within 90 days of hire (for Emergency Department).
- 0-1.99 years of relevant experience for Licensed Vocational Nurse I, 2-4.99 years for Licensed Vocational Nurse II, 5-9.99 years for Licensed Vocational Nurse III, and 10+ years for Licensed Vocational Nurse IV.
