About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for welcoming and rooming patients, reviewing medical histories, gathering information, handling referrals and prior authorizations, and utilizing the EPIC system for patient management. You will work in a heart and vascular specialty environment, adhering to all policies and procedures of Mount Carmel Health System.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of medical experience, or a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a science/health field.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
Preferred:
- Completion of a medical assistant program.
- Nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
- One to two years of medical assisting experience.
