Mitsubishi Chemical America is seeking a Machine Operator-Skiver for the 1st Shift in Delmont, PA. The role involves operating machinery such as skivers, take-off sheet straighteners, ovens, and automated material handling systems while adhering to safety guidelines and quality control standards.

The Machine Operator-Skiver is responsible for following all safety guidelines, operating forklifts to move and stage materials, securing pallet loads, performing Movex transactions, calculating recyclable scrap weights, and maintaining housekeeping standards. The role includes operating automated material handling systems like squaring tables, pick and place, lift/roller conveying tables, and managing emergency stops and gate interlocks. The operator will perform start-up inspections, set-up, manual and automatic operations, preventive maintenance, and emergency stops for skiver, take-off (sheet straightener), and oven operations. Additional duties include recording quality information, verifying measuring tool calibration, conducting work-in-process inspections, understanding warehouse locations and plant layout, notifying maintenance needs, reading manufacturing orders, checking product quality, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
