PASLIN is seeking a Machinist, Weld & Fabrication to join their integration team in Shelby Township, MI. The role involves setting up and operating manual and automated machines for building jigs, fixtures, and tooling used in metal part manufacturing.
About the Role
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for hands-on prototype and production machining, fabricating complex precision parts to specifications using various fabrication equipment. You will select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials, maintain equipment, and verify that finished work meets quality standards. The role requires flexibility to work at multiple Paslin sites and may involve overnight travel to customer sites.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years’ experience in a machine tool shop.
- Knowledge of welding and machining techniques.
- Familiarity with the setup and operation of lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, boring mills, saws, drills, and other fabrication machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, mathematics, and machining procedures.
- Experience with care and maintenance of industrial machine tools.
