TEKsystems is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their core banking technology team in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing mission-critical applications that support real-time banking and payment systems.
About the Role
As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS DB/DC, and CICS. You will collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements, participate in code reviews, optimize legacy code, and support application modernization efforts. Additionally, you will work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth release management and provide technical leadership to junior developers.
About You
Required:
- Deep expertise in COBOL and related mainframe technologies.
- Experience with JCL, DB2, IMS DB/DC, and CICS.
Preferred:
- Experience in application modernization and integration with APIs.
- Familiarity with MQ Series and Easytrieve components.
