About the Role
As a Maintenance Helper, you will assist the maintenance lead with repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment. Your daily tasks will include performing basic maintenance tasks, supporting safe operations, inspecting equipment, and helping with general facility upkeep. You will also assist with minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work under supervision, and respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, and the ability to learn building and mechanical systems.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor in various environments.
Preferred:
- Previous experience or training in maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Forklift operation experience or willingness to be trained is a plus.
