About the Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic B (Carpenter), you will be responsible for performing repairs and modifications to plant facilities, including preventative maintenance work in production and packaging areas. You will interact with the Plant Engineer to provide problem-solving expertise, perform basic carpentry functions, patch walls, fabricate and install plastic panels, and maintain accurate records of time and materials used. You will also be required to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and efficient workshop.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or GED plus 1 year experience in mechanical maintenance.
Minimum of one year as a mechanic 'B' or equivalent.
General carpentry and fabrication knowledge.
Knowledge of basic hand and machine tools.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Proficiency in math and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 350 lbs with assistance.
Ability to withstand frequent repetitive movements and wear protective clothing.

Benefits

Union wage of $50.36 per hour.
