Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Brookshire, TX. The role involves mechanical machine service and repair on industrial equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing installations and testing new equipment, maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting industrial machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also assist with equipment retrofits and maintain a neat maintenance shop.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience
- Critical thinking skills with limited supervision
- Good organization, writing, and verbal skills
- Basic troubleshooting abilities and computer skills
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
- Basic knowledge of oils and either pneumatics, hydraulics, or bearings
Preferred:
- Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
- Experience with SAP programs for reporting
